Venue: Seamen's Inne Restaurant and Pub

We were looking for something on the water and thought that Mystic Seaport would be beautiful, but expensive. We were wrong! Not only was the River Room beautiful and gave the feel of being on an old wooden ship, which went with our sailing theme perfectly, but the prices were very reasonable. We opted for the buffet style dinner, which included 2 entrees, a carving station, a soup, a salad with 2 dressings, 5 passed appetizers and a cheese/fruit plate for cocktail hour, and a 4 hour full open bar. The food was delicious and the room looked great. We're still hearing raves from our guests. The staff was great to work with. Kimberly Aubin, the events coordinator, was very accommodating and very helpful in the planning process and was very quick to respond to any questions that came up. They were very helpful when we had to move our ceremony from the North Lawn to the small covered patio because of rain. The only negative was that it was sometimes difficult to find someone with the key to the bridal room.

I cannot say enough good things about Derek. He was a huge help with anything and everything. He made announcements for everything we needed. He kept the music going and kept everyone entertained. He was very sociable and talked with a lot of the guests like he's known them for years. Definitely one of the most laid back but reliable vendors we had.
Cake: Toria Dolce

Victoria was a pleasure to work with. We told her our idea for our cake and she ran with it. The cake was beautiful and so delicious. We can't wait for our anniversary cake just to be able to eat it again.
Justice of the Peace: Sara Carson

Sara is such a wonderful person and so helpful. We met with her once for an hour in her condo. She talked us through the requirements and gave us lots of different ceremony wordings that she has done, along with ideas for various traditions. We mixed and matched the different parts to create our own ceremony and emailed it to her a few days before the wedding. She did a fantastic job with the ceremony and our guests were shocked that we only met with her for an hour. She also was very helpful after the ceremony when we were signing our ketubah (Jewish marriage contract).
